Once again, I am amazed by the liberals in this country. It seems a lot them are up in arms about a number of states actually have the gull to require people to show positive ID before allowing them to exercise one of our most valued rights, the right to vote for who will represent us. I am not sure when this became an issue but back in 1972, when I was 18 and voting for the first time I had to produce my voter’s card and my driver’s license before I could vote. Then for the next 20 years I had to produce my military ID card to request my ballot. When did we decide you could simply walk up to the polling booth and demand a ballot?
Now a number of states are exploring the idea of requiring potential voters to prove they are citizens of the United States before giving them a voter’s registration card. My question is what is wrong with that. If I need to present an ID card at Walmart to buy a can of spray paint why shouldn’t we fully protect this precious right?

It borders on lunacy not to require exacting identification to vote. If you are not a bona fide citizen of my country, you have no right to vote, and should be barred, and prosecuted if you try to do so illegally. I love your spray paint example! Blessings, Carol
