Last night as I sat watching Hillary’s speech I was struck by the fact that even in defeat she is not capable of putting the good of her own party ahead of “what Hillary wants.” This reality is the basic trouble that many of our politicians have today. They are not in office to improve the country but to improve their financial outlook for their future. What America needs are statesmen and not politicians.
How do we honestly expect to overcome the many crises’ that are facing our nation with leaders that do not lead for the good of the many but for the benefit of the few? If we are serious about wanting to tackle energy, employment, health care and social security we need to send these people packing and replace them with common people that are really interested in solving our problems. This is not a red-blue issue but a red-white-blue issue!
I want our next president to not only tell me what I want to hear but the hard truths that need to be said. I want a person that has vision and will inspire. I want a leader who will lead and not side-step issues that are unpopular. The sad part is that neither party has a candidate that fills these wants. I truly believe it is time that “We the people” begin looking for and then support such a candidate.
